Biography:
Armando Alemdar Ara, born in 1972, is an artist of Turkish descent, currently based in London. Armando’s pictures are in public and private collections around the world including The Macedonia Cultural Centre, USA, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Turkey, and Switzerland.
Armando is the co-founder of the movement Neomodernism, and terms it “a philosophy of art”. The movement could be seen as a marriage of the technical brilliance of the old masters with the conceptual and personal interest of more recent movements. Armando believes that art has an indirect, subtle, yet resonant effect on the viewer’s psyche; through his work he aims to encourage the use of philosophy in our everyday lives, as well as restore sensitivity to aesthetic values.
