Alfred Stevens (1823 - 1906). Belgian Fine art painter of portraits,woman,genrescenes,interiors,marines in the Realist and Romanticism style.Training at the academy of Brussel led by Jozef Pealinck,Van Eycken and Francois Navez.Pupil in Paris of Roqueplan and Dominique Ingres.Was good friends in Paris with Baudelaire,Edouard Manet,Berthe Morisot,Frederic Bazille and Puvis de Chavannes.Work in museum:Brussel,Antwerpen,Paris,Boston,Else.
