Biography:
ROMANELLI -1945 - Born in Rio, son of Carly Romanelli and Augusto Cerqueira, and grandson of Giusepe Romanelli and Romana Palais, both artists and from where he gained his talent and sensibility that only showed at age 15.
1960 - Paints his first painting on a piece of tile, with wall paints. 1961 - Motivated by his mother, starts to paint on is own. 1963 - Studies the art of painting at the "Instituto de Belas Artes" with the painters Edgar Walter, Oswaldo Teixeira and Manoel Santiago. 1968 - Conquers a gold medal at the "Salão Duquecaxiense" of painting - Medal attributed be Orlando Teruz, Silvia de Leon Chalréo and Quirino Campofiorito. 1965 a 1968 - Style transition period, from academicism to impressionism. 1969 a 1970 - Engages at the movement of artists who show their work at the Art Fair of Ipanema. 1968 a 1972 - Participates in all the Art Salons ( competitions ) conquering several gold medals, silver and bronze also, honor mentions and trips awarded. 1972 - Makes a difficult but correct decision, abandoning the Art Fair to jump to art galeries. Starts to fortify his art professionally and sets shows through all brazilian states. 1972 a 1996 - Realized over 50 individuals shows, national and international, in which grew a wide variety of themes, always enriching his style. Already with two books of his art, and a third one being made.
