Biography:
Sergio Albano was born in Turin in 1939. He studied in an Artistic High School and then in Albertina Academy of Turin. Since 1956 he took part in main national exhibitions of " Società Promotrice delle Belle Arti" and of "Piemonte Artistico Culturale". He was invited to the Four-year of ''Bianco e Nero'' Group, and of ''Arte Contemporanea'' organized from ''Città Amica''. He has exposed in prestigious galleries of Turin, in Man Art Gallery of Paris, in ''Art Expò'' of Geneva and of New York , in Art Gallery Museum of Jinan , in China. He has made mural paintings in several locations of Piedmont. Some of his works have been reproduced in cover of book copyrights (Françoise Sagan, Tahar Ben Jalloun, etc.) for various Publishing houses: Mondadori,Rizzoli, De Agostini and others have appeared in films and fictions (Barbara,directed by Angelo Orlando; Virginia,the nun of Monza, directed by Alberto Sironi; Fathers and Sons, directed by Gianni Zanasi). Moreover, he has collaborated with the Theatre Company Vittorio Alfieri, for some stage productions. In 1991, 1996 and in 2001 he achieved the first prize in the prestigious national competition ''Gaudenzio Ferrari'' of Santhià; many involvements in international exhibitions have been reported with awards and critics recognitions. He was originally a professor at Art school, so at private institutions of Turin and at the "National School of Animation Film" in Chieri (TO). He created a school of painting '' Gruppo d'Arte di Via Perrone'' at the Turin office which was,among others, of Umberto Mastroianni and Carlo Terzolo. The school,with which he has organized various exhibitions and cultural activities, is currently under the guidance of the painter Marco Piva. Sergio Albano died in 2008.

Querido Francesco, una mezcla de alegrìa y emociòn me embargò cuando leì tu misiva. Tu papà vivirà eternamente a travès de sus magistrales pinturas. Siempre perdurarà.
