Biography:
Endza Babakhanyan. It is an Armenian custom to place different objects in front of a child whose first tooth has just come through. The child's future trade is said to be determined by the object the child chooses. At the time I must have chosen a paint brush. And that child has refused to leave me. He is in my memory, in my dreams, in my paintings.
